CAD Designer/ Drafter

$30.00 to $40.00 If have a few years Windchill PDM experience the Hourly rate will be $35.00 to $40.00 (DOE)

Our client located in the Southwest Metro Suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota area is looking to add a Design Drafter to the team due to continued growth. Highlights

Works closely with Product Development, Project and Product Engineers to ensure that product designs are documented and controlled using established drawing creation, up-date and control procedures.

Responsibilities

Monitors and tracks the status of change requests/orders.
Enters/updates Bill of Material and component information in the MRP system that results from change orders.
Assists in the development of improvements to document and data control methods and facilitates their implementation.
Maintains Engineering documents and data from a control standpoint.
Works with and understands PDM systems.
Ensure CAD designs meet current ASME standards.
Monitors and tracks the status of change requests/orders.
Maintains and adequate knowledge of the CAD System as the revision level of the software or hardware changes.

Qualifications

S. degree in Engineering Drafting or equivalent
Minimum 2 years mechanical design / drafting experience in a manufacturing environment using Solidworks
Experience with Windchill PDM would be ideal but not required.
