Electrical Engineering Manager

$110 - $130K DOQ plus bonus

Responsibilities

  • Effectively lead, manage, and mentor the Electrical Engineering staff with an emphasis on employee growth, project success, and overall performance.
  • Set clear goals and objectives, assess progress, and instill a performance-oriented culture with a focus on accountability. Deploy a strategy that builds, retains, and engages all employees through inclusion and teamwork.
  • Coordinates with various disciplines within the organization (architectural, mechanical, process, structural, etc.) to collaborate, optimize, and improve work and staff sharing by participating in multi-discipline strategy sessions.
  • Assists all levels of Management in articulating discipline capability requirements in support of strategic and business objectives.
  • Identifies, champions, mentors, and coaches the development of our less experienced staff and looks for ways to elevate the technical and professional expertise of the team.
  • Designing and optimizing electrical components for systems.
  • Creating AutoCAD (Solidworks) engineering drawings in compliance with applicable standards.
  • Performing system calculations for electrical systems.
  • Establishing system testing requirements and assisting in equipment inspections and startup.
  • Collaborating with assistant project managers, engineers, and technicians to meet project deliverables, contract requirements, and budget constraints.
  • Reviewing technical vendor submittals for installation requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with all safety and quality requirements.
  • Reviewing development plans for adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
  • Creating and maintaining programmatic and technical documentation.
  • Assisting with assembly, testing, and debugging during builds when required.
  • Performing other duties as assigned and/or required.
  • Design of switchgear, switchboards, panel boards in accordance with customer’s functional requirements
  • Supporting product assembly and test
  • Provide project coordination and management for customer orders.
  • Develop product/project quotes.
  • Establish and maintain internal, customer, and supplier relationships

Qualifications

  • BS in relevant engineering discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience.
  • Well versed in engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to design and implement in own area of expertise. (Solidworks)
  • Electrical Engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated effective coaching, mentoring, supervising and project management.

Annual Salary Rate: $110K to $130K + estimated annual bonus of $5,500, Holiday bonus of about $1,000.  Great 401K match program, great benefits and other perks.
