Manufacturing Engineer

$80,000 - $85,000 Plus Annual Bonus potential of 15%

Our client located about an hour north of the Twin Cities metro area is looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer to the team. This position is a brand new opportunity within the organization. Highlights

Brand new opportunity within the organization.  Will be leading the Manufacturing area.  Looking for experienced Manufacturing Engineer that can show what they need to do and you would have complete support from upper management.

Responsibilities

Enhances and maximizes the continuous improvements within the facility maximizing efficiency. Lean Manufacturing, CNC and Robotics background is ideal for this position.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related area.

 

Experience

 

  • At least five years LEAN manufacturing experience driving key LEAN elements in all aspects of the plant such as 5S, Cellular Manufacturing, Kan-ban replenishment, SMED, Visual management, Continuous Flow and Material Flow.
  • 5 years’ experience with CNC programming and software.
  • 5 years’ experience with robotics
  • Ability to coach and lead on-going LEAN practices.
  • High mix low volume manufacturing experience preferred.
  • LEAN manufacturing experience in a grass roots environment.
  • Management experience of a maintenance department.
  • Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Candidate should be results oriented with good project management, organizational, prioritization, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs periodically throughout workday.
  • Ability to work independently or as a team.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge or experience, and / or knowledge of common hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of PC based software tools, including ERP systems, and MS Office.

Strong communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with various skillsets
